What is Mutual aid?

The phrase ‘mutual aid’ is based on the philosophy that we are stronger when we collaborate with each other, when we share our resources, and when we work together for the common good.

Herbal medicine is the people’s medicine and with your help we can distribute more plants to the people!

This is a community focused gathering where we will work together to assemble herbal care kits that will be distributed amongst folks in our community who may otherwise not have access.

Leah, herbalist on staff at The People’s Apothecary, will be happy to share herbal knowledge and answer any questions about the remedies we will be putting together.

Bring questions and enthusiasm to help others for this community supportive gathering! 

This gather is Donation based, Venmo or cash upon arrival. All money will go towards continued mutual aid efforts and cost of medicine being made together.

What to Bring

Teacher Bio

Leah is a lifelong plant lover and dedicated herbalist. She spends her time wildcrafting, growing herbs in her community garden bed, making herbal preparations at home. Her connection and reverence with the natural world has led her to pursue various outdoor jobs including, farming, forestry, guiding and trail work. Throughout the years the plants kept calling her in and led her to the community at The Peoples Apothecary, working as a shop keep and production role. Since working at the apothecary she has completed her 2-year Village Herbalist program with Berkeley Herbal Center.
