Enjoy spring and sunshine in your cup with Bird Song oolong, a softly elegant blend of Taiwanese oolong and dried flowers. Its base ingredient is an exquisite Wu-yi varietal oolong cultivated at low elevations in central Taiwan. Lightly oxidized and lightly roasted, this oolong is characterized by its naturally floral and herbaceous notes, which we've further enhanced with rose petals, chamomile blossoms, and fruity lemon balm. Bird Song offers a delightful balance of flavors that can be enjoyed as a soothing hot cuppa or as a lovely iced tea in the summer months (add a slice of lemon for a refreshing twist).

Oolong teas can be steeped multiple times. With this blend, the flavors of the chamomile, lemon balm and rose will fade with subsequent steeps, but the natural floral notes of the oolong will strengthen. Each brew will be a new experience!

Ingredients

Taiwanese Oolong Tea, Chamomile*, Roses, Lemon Balm*.

Instructions

Serving Size: 8 fl oz (237 ml)

BY THE CUP
Heat water to 208°F (boiling).
Scoop one level teaspoon of tea into an infuser and place it into your teacup.
Pour 8 fl oz (237 ml) of hot water over tea leaves.
Steep for 3-4 minutes.
Remove infuser and enjoy.
POTFUL
Determine the capacity of your pot in cups (8 fl oz servings).
Heat water to 208°F (boiling).
Place infuser in pot.
Add tea leaves to your infuser. Use a ratio of one level teaspoon of tea for each cup of water you intend to add.
Pour hot (208°F) water over the tea leaves.
Steep for 3 to 4 minutes.
Remove infuser and enjoy.
ICED TEA
For a concentrated brew:

Use the same leaf quantities as above but halve the water.
Allow it to cool.
Pour over ice and enjoy as it dilutes to proper strength.
