Learn how to make your own Fire Cider, a health boosting tonic to add to your home apothecary!
This wonderful folk remedy is an accessible, fun and easy way to use herbs and food as medicine. We will also talk about the legacy of this unassuming remedy which has instilled the importance of shared tradition over the trademarking of herbal remedies.
Participants will be involved in chopping ingredients to add to their own Fire Cider that they will take home. We will make enough for each participant to take home 1 quart jar and more that will go towards herbal mutual aid kits for the fall/winter season.

Teacher Bio
Leah is a lifelong plant lover and dedicated herbalist. She spends her time wildcrafting, growing herbs in her community garden bed, making herbal preparations at home. Her connection and reverence with the natural world has led her to pursue various outdoor jobs including, farming, forestry, guiding and trail work. Throughout the years the plants kept calling her in and led her to the community at The Peoples Apothecary, working as a shop keep and production role. Since working at the apothecary she has completed her 2-year Village Herbalist program with Berkeley Herbal Center.
