Flowers have long been companions in healing.
Not through chemistry alone, but through the subtle ways they invite balance, resilience, and transformation. Flower essences are a gentle yet profound remedy that work with our emotional, energetic, and spiritual well-being, helping us realign with our own innate wisdom.
Join Dr. Ashley and herbalist Sarah Olson for an introduction to the art and practice of flower essences. Together, we'll explore the philosophy behind this beautiful medicine, how flower essences are traditionally co-created with nature, and why they continue to be a cherished part of herbal practice today.
Prior to class, Ashley and Sarah will spend time with the flowering plants of Central Oregon, respectfully co-creating a collection of mother essences from the season's blooms. During the workshop, you'll learn how these mother essences are prepared and how they become the stock and dosage bottles used in everyday practice.
To conclude our time together, each participant will select one stock essence from the collection Ashley and Sarah have co-created and blend a personalized dosage bottle to take home. Whether you're creating a formula for yourself, a loved one, or simply beginning your relationship with flower essences, you'll leave with a deeper understanding of this gentle medicine and the confidence to continue exploring its gifts.
Together we'll explore:
- The history and philosophy of flower essence therapy
- What makes flower essences unique from other herbal preparations
- How mother essences are respectfully co-created with flowering plants
- How to prepare stock bottles and personalized dosage bottles
- Ways to choose essences with intention for yourself, your family, or your community
Come spend an afternoon listening to the wisdom of the flowers and discover how these subtle plant allies can support healing, clarity, and a deeper connection to the natural world.
